Following a magnitude 7.8 earthquake that left more than 1,600 dead, dozens of nations and organizations have pledged to help with rescue operations in southeast Turkey and northwest Syria.4

China
China is ready to offer Turkey and Syria who are both in need of humanitarian assistance following recent earthquakes, the foreign aid department of the State Council said.
According to a representative for the China International Development Cooperation Agency, China has conveyed regrets and sorrow over the loss of life and property and has been in contact with both Turkey and Syria.
European Union
In order to assist first responders in Turkey, ten-search-and-rescue teams from eight different European Union nations have been mobilized, the European Commission said in a statement.
The components are manufactured in Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, France, Greece, the Netherlands, and Poland. The Commission reported that teams to Turkey have also been proposed by Italy and Hungary.
Germany
The German government pledged to contribute to the prompt distribution of aid, according to a representative.
Greece
Greece’s prime minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, sent his sympathies to Turkey and pledged his nation’s solidarity, noting that it was mobilizing its resources and would provide aid right away.
India
The Indian government announced that two teams from the National Disaster Response Force, made up of 100 troops, were prepared to be airlifted to the disaster area for search and rescue efforts.
In collaboration with the Turkish government, medical teams were also prepared, and aid supplies were being supplied.
Iran
Speaking on behalf of the foreign ministry, Nasser Kanaani offered “condolences and deep sympathy” to the earthquake-affected nations and pledged to assist the victims.
Hailing Iran’s “good relationship” with both countries, Kanaani said: “If there is a need for the presence of relief and health institutions of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the earthquake-affected areas, we will fulfil our moral responsibility.”
He described the offer of help as a “moral, human and Islamic responsibility”.
Italy
Italian Civil Protection is ready to offer assistance and first aid, according to Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.
Israel
According to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, all authorities have been told to start making urgent plans to help with medical care and search-and-rescue operations.
Israel’s security forces are prepared to offer any support required, according to defense minister Yoav Gallant, and a quick relief program is in the works, according to foreign minister Eli Cohen.
NATO
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg tweeted his unwavering support for Turkey: “I am in touch with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, and NATO Allies are mobilizing support now.”
Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC)
Middle East regional director for NRC, Carsten Hansen, “NRC is assessing the situation in order to provide direct support to those most affected across Syria. A massive scale up is needed and our organisation will be part of it.”
Poland
76 firefighters and 8 rescue dogs will make up the Polish rescue team HUSAR. Minister of the interior and administration, Mariusz Kamiski noted.
Qatar
Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the emir of Qatar, called Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the president of Turkey, to offer his sympathies.
The emir reportedly offered Qatar’s solidarity for the “sisterly” nation “in alleviating the serious humanitarian implications caused by the earthquake,” according to state news agency QNA.
Spain
Officials from the defense ministry and other agencies are working together to send Spanish urban rescue teams right away to Turkey, according to the interior ministry of Spain.
Russia
Vladimir Putin, the president of Russia, offered support and condolences.
“Please accept my deep condolences on the numerous human casualties and large-scale destruction … in your country,” Putin said.
“We are ready to provide the necessary assistance in this regard,” he added.
Ukraine
Ukraine is prepared to deploy assistance, according to President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Zelenskyy posted on Twitter: “I express my sincere condolences to President Erdogan, the Turkish people and the families of the victims of the earthquake in the southeast of Turkey.

WHO
Emergency medical teams have been activated, according to Tedros Ghebreyesus, head of the World Health Organization to provide essential health care for the injured and most vulnerable.
United States
National Security Advisor for the White House Jake Sullivan stated that the US is “profoundly concerned” about the incident.
Sullivan said on Twitter, using Turkey’s official name; “I have been in touch with Turkish officials to relay that we stand ready to provide any & all needed assistance. We will continue to closely monitor the situation in coordination with Turkiye.”
