The Amotekun Corps’ Osun State Command announced on Sunday that it had started looking for a housewife identified as Gbemisola, who had been taken by unidentified individuals in Osogbo.
The woman was abducted in her home in Technical College Area, Osogbo, late on Friday, according to a statement by the Command’s spokesperson, Idowu Yusuf.
He claims that the victim’s husband informed the Amotekun leadership in Osun on Saturday about the event.
The statement promised that Amotekun agents would step up their efforts to save the victim, adding that the offenders would also be caught.
“The Osun Amotekun Field Commander, Mr. Amitolu Shittu received a distress call around 1:15 am on Saturday from the victim’s husband Mr. Ojo a staff of NNPC on the disappearance of his wife.
“Amotekun operatives immediately swung into action in search of the victim. The Amotekun operatives led by the Field Commander, Shittu assured the inhabitants of the state that the woman would be rescued and the perpetrators brought to book,” the statement read.
