A Nigerian has reportedly duped a Greek Woman of over N73 million.
It was gathered that the suspect alongside four other Nigerians have been arrested by the police in Crete, Greece.
While disguising as Reeves, they were able to dupe the unsuspecting Greek Woman to lend them money to complete a movie production.
The victim transferred funds to four separate bank accounts formed by the Nigerians, who ultimately defrauded her of €150,000, which is equivalent to N73,227,000.
According to the police investigation, the Nigerians perpetrated the fraud between June and November of 2021. They then divided the funds into smaller sums and re-deposited them into their individual accounts.
Five Nigerians have been charged with fraud and other similar offenses, and a court in Crete is due to hear their cases.
A Greek national was also detained in relation to the fraud.
