Popular Nigerian Comedian, Bright Okpocha, professionally known as, Basketmouth, has deleted the post where he announced the end of his 12-year marriage to his wife, Elsie.
Punch Metro had reported that on December 22, Basketmouth announced on several social media platforms, including Instagram, that he and his wife were going their separate ways.
His statement read, “As much as it pains me to bring my personal life to the public space, this is an unavoidable situation.
“After much deliberations, my wife and have made the difficult decision to end our marriage.
“As we move forward separately, we will continue to work together to give our beautiful children all the care, love, guidance and support they need.
“We humbly ask that you respect our privacy as we navigate through these times. Thank you.”
However, the father of three has deleted that particular post across his social media accounts.
While no further detail has been gotten from either couple concerning their relationship, it was observed that during the yulitide, Elsie posted a family picture with the children in a matching pyjamas, without Basketmouth.
Meanwhile, an old video of the couple declaring that they would never get divorced has been trending on social media.
