The Kaduna State Traffic Enforcement Authority has announced that starting on Tuesday, all motorcycles it impounded in 2022 will be released, subject to the owners paying various fee amounts.
Additionally, motorbike owners must update their paperwork. In a statement released on Sunday in Kaduna, the acting corps marshal for KASTELIA, Carla Abdulmalik, said.
“Unregistered motorcycles will pay a registration fee of N30,000 each and those without Number Plates or particulars will have to pay N12,000 each.
“Owners of registered motorcycles will pay N20,000 and N3,700 for renewal of particulars, totalling N23,700.
“Motorcycle owners are expected to present their national identity cards, motorcycle purchase receipts, registration particulars and passport photographs, before the motorcycles are released to them,” she added
The exercise would be carried out in batches starting on December 20, 2022, and ending on January 20, 2023, according to the Acting Corps Marshall.
She claims that the Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna will be the location of the document screening. There, owners will fill out forms, attach photocopies of supporting documentation, and sign an undertaking.
