The Vice president, Yemi Osinbajo, amongst other dignitaries, such as the senate president have congratulated the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (Ret’d.) as he marks his 80th birthday today, December 17.
Osinbajo through his Instagram page praised the president for his estimable leadership.
He said, “Happy 80th Birthday, Mr. President @muhammadubuhari Your extraordinary life of unblemished service to the nation in the army, as a Governor, Minister, Military Head of State and as a two-term Civilian President demonstrates that it is possible to serve the nation and our people honestly, forthrightly and selflessly. Dolly and I, and the family wish you many more happy years in peace and good health in Jesus name. Amen”
The Senate President also sent his regard via his Twitter handle, saying, “A hearty felicitation to Your Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari on the occasion of your 80th birthday.
“I join the generality of Nigerians and your admirers across the world in rejoicing with your family for reaching this milestone in good health.”
Senator Shehu Sani also sent a congratulatory message. He said, “Happy 80th Birthday to President Buhari.Count and record the number of those who will wish you happy birthday this year and compare with the number of those who will remember your Birthday next year when you are out of power.”
