Nigeria Professional Football League side, Lobi Stars F.C., have refuted the claims that the club has made moves to sign Portuguese international, Cristiano Ronaldo.
Ronaldo is currently clubless after Manchester United announced they have parted ways with the Portugal star by mutual consent.
While unconfirmed reports had linked Ronaldo with the Nigerian club, the management of Lobi Stars in a statement released on Wednesday via its Twitter handle denied making any contact for the 37-year old forward.
They said, “LOBI STARS STATEMENT ON CRISTIANO RONALDO LINK. Pls be informed that #WeAreLobi is yet to make any contact with representatives of #CristianoRonaldo following his release from #ManUtd. We wish him the best & #LobiStars will make no further comment on this.”
