Port Authority police in the American Airlines have reportedly arrested former UFC middleweight champion, Israel Adesanya, for allegedly bringing brass knuckles into New York’s John F. Kennedy Airport.
According to Daily Mail, the 33-year-old, who lost his title by TKO to Alex Pereira in New York last Saturday, was arrested on Wednesday.
His arrest was confirmed by a Port Authority spokesperson at the John F. Kennedy Airport in New York, who said Adesanya was booked for possessing ‘metal knuckles.’
In New York, having brass knuckles is a Class A misdemeanor, and having them on an airplane is prohibited.
Spokespeople from the UFC are yet to react to the incident.
