Rapper Blaqbonez, real name Emeka Akumefule, has advised his fans against investing cryptocurrency.
With the help of the song “Fake Nikes” from his most recent album, “Young Preacher,” Blaqbonez had promoted cryptocurrency investing.
The lyrics go thus,“I’d rather put that two mil’ in a safe, plеase. Rather put that two mil’ into crypto. At least, I’ma know whеre that shit goes…”
The rap act has, however, since reversed course after an undisclosed amount to the supposed investment scheme.
He then issued a warning not to listen to the song’s lyrics, particularly the portion supporting cryptocurrency.
He tweeted, “I’ve now lost many millions to crypto, Don’t Listen to me guys.”
Blaqbonez is well known for his original rap style. He was highlighted as one of the new guards of Nigerian music by The New York Times in 2019.
