Commercial motorcyclists popularly known as Okada riders have once again surfaced in one of the areas where they have been banned in Lagos State.
According to PUNCH, Okada riders were clustered opposite a filling station on Cele Express and also driving against traffic on the route outward the Mile 2 area of Lagos on Thursday.
Recall, that The Lagos state government had banned the operations of Okada, June 2022, in some Local Government Areas of the state and Local Council Development Areas.
The LGAs include Kosofe, Oshodi-Isolo, Somolu, Mushin, Apapa, Ikeja, Lagos Island, Lagos Mainland, Surulere and Eti-Osa and LCDAS are Apapa Iganmu, Ojodu, Onigbongbo, Lagos Island West, Lagos Island East, Yaba, Coker Aguda, Itire-Ikate, Eti-Osa East, Eti-Osa West, Iru Victoria Island, Ikoyi-Obalende, Ikosi-Isheri, Agboyi-Ketu, Isolo, Ejigbo, Bariga and Odi-Olowo.
