Three people have been feared dead following the collapse of a section under construction at the Stephen Keshi International Stadium, Asaba, the Delta State capital.
According to The PUNCH, the incident was said to have happened on Thursday.
The Minister of Sports and Youths Development, Sunday Dare, recently inspected the structure that is being built in preparation for the National Sports Festival that will take place at the stadium this year.
Although the cause of the collapse is unknown, it was learned that it was not unrelated to the construction’s rush to meet the deadline for delivering the project for use.
