A police man was reportedly killed while a university don and two students of the Moshood Abiola University have been kidnapped along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
According to Daily Post, the university don was a former Deputy Vice-Chancellor at the University of Ibadan, Oyo State, Professor Adigun Agbaje, while one of the kidnapped students was identified as Miss Oluwatobi Orekoya.
According to reports, the kidnappers have already contacted the families of their victims, demanding N50 million for Professor Agbaje’s release, while the parents of the two MAPOLY students have been requested to pay a N10 million ransom.
Agbaje, who was on leave from the Ogun State-owned Olabisi Onabanjo University in Ago Iwoye, was on his way back to Ibadan at 6 p.m. when he was accosted.
It was gathered that the incident happened near Sat Guru Maharaji Garden on the Ibadan road.
Also, the Oyo State police spokesman, Adewale Osifeso confirmed the death of a police man during the incident.
He also revealed that the police retrieved expended ammunition shells and four vehicles abandoned from the scene.
