The fire incident at the West Africa Examination Council office in Lagos State has been extinguished, by the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service.
The fire unit has also commenced an evacuation of the building, according to Vanguard.
It was discovered that the fire was started by a power surge in one of the offices and spread quickly with Several people were trapped inside the burning building.
The fire had started in the middle of the high-rise building, with those trapped inside frantically calling for help.
As of the time of filing this report, there has been no casualty report from the scene of the fire incident.
