The Academic Staff Union of Universities is set to meet on Thursday to take a decision on its eight-month long strike.
According to The PUNCH, the National Executive Council of the association and all branches of the Union are expected to enter into consultation over the possibility of calling off the strike.
It would be recalled that The PUNCH on Sunday reported that lead counsel for ASUU, Femi Falana, SAN strike would be over in a few days.
This is coming as a result of the development recorded after series of meetings with the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, who called several meetings between the Union and the Federal Government.
ASUU had, on Monday, February 14, 2022, embarked on a strike over what the Union described as the failure of the government to meet its lingering demands.
