The President of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Dr. Daniel Okoh has urged the Federal Government to do all that is needed for university students to return to class.
According to The Punch, Okoh made the appeal as the Academic Staff Union of Universities strike enters the seventh month with no solution in view.
The cleric made the appeal on Sunday during the interdenominational church service to mark the 62nd Independence Day at the National Ecumenical Centre, Abuja
“I call on the Federal Government to do all that is necessary so that most of these youths will go back to the universities and engage with their studies.
“As it is often said that ‘idle minds are the devil’s workshop, idle lips are his mouthpiece,” he said.
