World Wrestling Entertainment legend, Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque, said Tyson Fury will knock out Anthony Joshua in the eighth round.
Triple H who made the prediction during an interview with iFL TV, noted that no one can defeat the Gypsy King in his current fit state.
Heavyweight champion Fury was expected to come out of retirement and face Oleksandr Usyk – who defeated Joshua for the second time last month – in an undisputed clash by the end of the year.
Those plans have been sidelined after Usyk opted to take time away from the ring, with Fury now offering Joshua the chance to become a three-time champion by fighting for his WBC title.
Joshua accepted a deal proposed by Fury’s team, which is understood to be a 60/40 purse split in Fury’s favour, as the pair are set to meet at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff on December 3.
“From a boxing standpoint, I don’t think anyone right now can touch Tyson Fury,” he told iFL TV. “His size, strength and skill set that he has is unmatched. I think Tyson Fury comes out on top. Is that a match I want to see? Absolutely, I can’t wait to see it. If it’s at all possible, I will be sitting there watching in person because that’s a blockbuster. If I had to make a prediction, Tyson Fury on top. Maybe in eight rounds,” Triple H remarked.
Joshua is just a signature away from securing his title clash against long-time rival Fury as the champion’s promoter Frank Warren revealed ‘AJ’ was sent a fight contract last week.
