In the latest development, the Kaduna-based journalist and immediate past Secretary of the Nigerian Union of Journalists Kaduna State Council, expressed his willingness to donate one of his kidneys to Sonia, Senator Ike Ekweremadu’s sick daughter.
Adi in a post via his verified Facebook page on Friday that he is willing to donate one of his kidneys to the 21-year-old.
According to him, this gesture is fueled by God’s command in the Holy Bible to love our neighbours as ourselves.
He wrote: “I, Comrade John Femi Adi, a Kaduna-based journalist and farmer, hereby announce my ‘agape’ decision to donate one of my kidneys to Senator Ekweremadu’s beautiful daughter.
“I am doing this on God’s order in the Holy Bible to Love our neighbours as ourselves.

This publication reported that the former deputy senate president and Beatrice, his wife, are currently facing charges in a UK court over an alleged conspiracy to facilitate organ harvesting.
While Ekweremadu’s wife was granted bail on July 22, his request for the same was denied.
