The terrorists who attacked the AK-9 Abuja-Kaduna train passengers on March 28 released four more hostages on Friday.
Tukur Mamu, the Media Consultant to the controversial Islamic cleric, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, confirmed the release of the four hostages to newsmen in Kaduna.
According to The PUNCH, the released victims are Hajiya Halimatu Atta, an 85-year-old woman, her daughter Adams Aliyu, and two other people who had been held for four months.
Mamu also said that if quick action wasn’t taken, Arzurfa Lois John, who is 21 years old, could be married off to one of the terrorists, just like Leah Sharibu, the Dapchi schoolgirl, was.
He said that he had heard that one of the terrorists’ leaders was in love with Lois.
Mamu said that the people who were freed were Mama Halimatu Atta, her daughter Adams, Mohammed Sani Abdulmaji (M.S. Ustaz), who suggested Mamu to the terrorists as a mediator, and Alhaji Modin Modi Bodinga, who is from Sokoto.
Mamu said the terrorists planned to marry off the 21-year-old girl, alerting the Federal Government and the Christian Association of Nigeria to act urgently.
According to him, the CAN must not politicise or take the information with levity, adding that relevant authorities should engage the abductors in her (Lois) case as soon as possible before it is late.
