At least four suspected love scammers have been arrested by the Anambra State Police Command for alleged theft and blackmail.
According to The Punch, the suspects included a 36-year-old male, Okechukwu Ogoejiofor, a 34-year-old male Nonso Nwizu, a 21-year-old female, Esther lfeanyichukwu and a 20-year-old, female, Obianuju Nduba.
In a statement released by the state police spokesman, Tochukwu Ikenga, on Thursday, the suspects lure their male victims into a fake love and friendship relationship.
The victims were thereafter lured into a room after they met, where Nduba engaged them in foreplay.
During the foreplay, Ikenga stated that other members of the gang busted into the room, took nude pictures and videos of the victims and forced them to transfer a huge sum of money to their accounts.
They further threatened to publish their nudes on social media if they fail to comply with their request, Ikenga noted.
