A massive fire erupted at a police headquarters in the Egyptian city of Ismailia, leaving at least 38 people injured, according to the health ministry.
The fire broke out before dawn, fully engulfing the Ismailia Security Directorate building, which was occupied by police officers at the time.
Although there were no immediate reports of fatalities, the building was heavily damaged. Emergency services worked to prevent further fires, and social media footage showed individuals trapped inside, seeking help from windows.
The cause of the fire remains unknown, and authorities have sealed off the area for investigation.
According to local media reports, the health ministry dispatched a total of 50 ambulances to the location, which were accompanied by military emergency services consisting of two aircraft.
