Nigerian international act and YBNL star Asake has won the Next Rated Award at the 16th Headies Awards
The Next Rated award is given to a promising performer who released an EP or album in the previous year. Asake won the prized honour ahead of Young Jonn, Seyi Vibez, Victony, and Spyro.
Since his comeback, the singer has been consistently dropping hit songs, and he has two good albums to show for his efforts, “Mr. Money With The Vibe” and the recently released “Work Of Art.” He also received the “Album of the Year” award.
The 16th edition of the Headies Awards took place on September 3, 2023, with the ceremony being held in Atlanta, Georgia.
Asake has enjoyed a successful year in the music industry, PUNCH METRO reported that he sold out the iconic London arena last month making history in the process as the first Nigerian newbie to do so.
The concert also featured guest performances from top artistes such as his label boss, Olamide, Tiwa Savage, Fireboy among others.
