Former Nigeria international, Victor Moses, has expressed confidence that the Super Eagles of Nigeria can creat more history in the Africa Cup of Nations ahead of their tie with Equatorial Guinea on Sunday.
Moses disclose this in a post via his X account, while sending his goodwill message to the Nigeria’s side.
Moses, who won the AFCON in 2013, expressed his support to Jose Peseiro’s side.
He made 38 appearances for the Super Eagles, scoring twelve goals in the process before quitting in August 15 after the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
Nigeria will clash with Equatorial Guinea in their AFCON first Group A fixture on Sunday.
The AFCON match will take place at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium, Abidjan.
Moses wrote, “Good luck to the guys for the AFCON.
“I have amazing memories from previous tournaments and I know you can create more history this year.
“We are all behind you,” the former Chelsea winger wrote.
The 34th edition of the final tournament is Nigeria’s 20th appearance, having made her debut in 1963, and then appeared at the 1976, 1978, 1980, 1982, 1984, 1988, 1990, 1992, 1994, 2000, 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008, 2010, 2013, 2019 and 2021 finals.
