The Super Eagles will resume training on Wednesday ahead of their Round of 16 clash against the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon in the 2023 African Cup of Nations in Cote D’ivoire.
This was made known in a statement released by the Super Eagles media officer, Babafemi Raji, saying that Wednesday and Thursday sessions will be behind closed doors.
Tuesday was observed as a rest day by the squad.
Meanwhile, Friday’s session will be open to the media for the first 15 minutes.
Jose Peseiro’s side have been training at the Police College, Cocody, since their arrival in Abidjan for the AFCON.
The Eagles will take on Cameroon at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium, Abidjan, on Saturday.
The highly anticipated encounter will kick-off at 9pm Nigeria time.
The three-tine African champions progressed safely to the knockout stages of the 34th edition of the AFCON after beating Guinea-Bissau 1-0 in Abidjan.
The only goal of the game came in the 36th minute, as Opa Sangante diverted into his own net after trying to prevent the ball reaching prolific Super Eagles frontman Victor Osimhen.
